How we verify identity and age
Every escort listed on Limbo has verified their identity and age of majority through Didit. What verification confirms and what it cannot confirm.
Before being listed, every escort verifies who they are and that they are an adult. We use Didit, an identity verification (KYC) platform with controls audited under SOC 2 Type II and ISO/IEC 27001. It is the same kind of technology used by banks and fintechs.
What it verifies
- Document. A valid identity document is checked.
- Face. The person's face is compared with the one on the document.
- A real, present person. A liveness check confirms that someone is on the other side, not a photo or a video.
- Adult age. The date of birth on the document must come to 18 years or more.
What we do afterward
Verification is the first filter, not the only one. Once approved, our team reviews the profile by hand: it compares the photos with the verified identity and runs reverse image searches to detect photos that belong to someone else. You can read more in How we moderate Limbo.
What it confirms and what it does not
Verification confirms that:
- The person who created the profile exists, is an adult and has a valid document.
- The profile photos correspond to that person.
Verification cannot confirm:
- What happens outside Limbo. A meeting is an agreement between two adults and we do not take part in it.
- That a published rate, schedule or service will not change.
What happens if it fails
If verification is not approved, the profile is not published. We may ask for a new verification when a profile changes in a suspicious way or when we receive a report.
Your data
Verification is done by Didit. Limbo receives the result, not your document. The details are in the Privacy Policy. Visitors do not go through any verification: browsing Limbo is anonymous.
Why it matters
A fake profile is the most common scam in this field: stolen photos and a deposit request that never ends in a meeting. Identity verification cuts that business off at the root.
